ABOUT ME
Laura Ortega-Shaffer
Hello,
I am a Latina plant scientist turned UX designer. I am passionate about bringing my scientific background and my newly acquired UX design skills together to create an interactive, educational, and useful user experience.
I love to take on new challenges and utilize technology and art as a way to improve people's lives. It coincidently also keeps both sides of my brain active!
I serve as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) co-chair at Benson Hill and can proudly say that I hold this position dearly as I enjoy driving diversity initiatives to make our workplace feel inclusive.
I recently finished the Google UX Design certification and am currently looking for new employment opportunities.
